Manchester SWAT gives Union Leader a peak behind the Iron Shield

Just after Sunday midnight the Union Leader newspaper published the accounts of Manchester NH law enforcers who locked down Boston while searching the “hot zone” for a teenager. The MPD shared a link to the article & the UL quickly took it offline, but not before TalleyTV saved it from the memory hole and gave it a fisking.

Auburn, NH Police Department had 50 seized rifles stored at residence of evidence officer

Retired cop David Flight stored a cache of 50 rifles at his home at the behest of the Auburn PD. This according to the NH State Attorney General who just dropped charges for Flight’s theft of a different rifle.

New London Police Chief wanted nude photos from college student in exchange for her freedom

Police Chief David Seastrand has been forced to resign after a woman attending Colby-Sawyer college accused him of offering to drop underage drinking charges if she dropped her clothes and posed for photos in the town’s “public safety” complex. A complaint was made by the the student’s lawyer on March 6th and a month later, Attorney General Michael Delaney closed the case after negotiating Seastrand’s resignation and relinquishment of his police certification.

NH Attorney General lets Auburn law enforcer avoid trial for stealing seized high-powered rifle

Deputy Attorney General Ann Rice tells press “I’m not going to go into all the rationale” for why her office dropped charges against retired Auburn law enforcer David Flight two weeks before he was to go on trial for felony theft charges.

Part of Lt. Flight’s defense was going to be that Auburn, NH Police Chief Edward Picard gave a Remington rifle to the him, the former evidence officer and department prosecutor. The charge of numerous other seized weapons being given to officers was adamantly denied by Picard.

Over a year ago, the Portsmouth PD arrested Lisa M. Mayhew calling her a prostitute. An anonymous Union Leader report shared Lisa’s photo & data in NH’s most widely circulated newspaper. Despite being found not guilty by jurors in a 15 JAN trial, 75 days passed until the UL shared the good news.

Big Smiles in Atlantic NE’s Big Cities

Men’s Health Magazine ranked 100 cities to determine which are happy or sad. No cities in the Atlantic NE were ranked sad, but “blues-proof” Manchester, NH was 2nd happiest while Burlington, VT was 9th. The lowest ranked Arcadian city was Portland, ME at #16 which still earned a B according to the survey.

The Valley News continues their “Free Staters & their allies” narrative, crediting voters for the rejection of $21.8M school bond and a $14,000 cut in the town of Grafton’s annual budget. A gain of 14 votes in Tuesday’s recount would cut the budget by $128K.
