The Obama Administration just replied to the thousands of people who requested a peaceful response to the States whose inhabitants may want to secede from the Union. Instead, these petitioners received a veiled threat of war against those who reject a “perpetual” union in favor of self-determination. For the federal government, Jon Carson writes “Our States Remain United”.

I think this is absurd. The states most certainly have every right to seceed if they desire; they are in control; & not the federal govt. Obama is confused, very confused. And he sits under bad counsel, if this is his reply. And furthermore his ignorance is appalling! This is, in fact, a REPUBLIC, by legal definition, and not a democracy; which he so slyly tries to convince the people they are involved in!! This/his reply is not founded in truth nor fact, but in Obamas opinion merely; which is not legally relevant.
